Setting up today

I have been working all week on my boxes of books getting them sorted and ready for set up today.  I have taken about four boxes of books out as they are older than I want to offer or they are copies of some I already have..  I don’t know what I am walking into so I also took some out that will make my load lighter.. I can always add later on.

Remember I am moving my books inside the flee market and making a little store.. Be sure to tell everyone you know and bring a friend… I have an ad in the paper a customer called and she had seen it but did not know it was me.  Ouch…

Looking for someone to work the weekend after Christmas.  I will be away. I hate to close down and loose money… and maybe customers. If you are interested let me know.

I want to find a company that can sell me new books for a low price so I can offer them.. Also order them if I have an author coming for a signing.

Cleaning drawers

Today is about getting drawers cleaned out and getting ready for our yard sale this weekend… I have one done and then my husband who had surgery yesterday came in to lay down.. So I finished the one I was one and moved out to start the blog… Its all about his comfort today…. If I don’t get dressed because I have to run the shower and sit on the bed to dress that is ok.. I have several drawers in the dresser I was working on and another dresser in our closet that has odds and ends… The truly hard part will be the attic.. I don’t climb ladders… This stuff just may have to wait till next time…

We have a computer works good.. we just decided to get a newer model.  A push wheel chair.. we got a lighter weight one to go in car. And books…. Lots of books.. and very inexpensive… Movies, puzzles and lots of odds and ends…

I went around the neighborhood and told them about my sale and invited others to join me…  I had one lady call and say she was going to….

Have a great day… Mine will be busy.. I don’t have to go out for anything so I can concentrate on home… and taking care of hubby.

Saturday at last Family coming today

DSC04622One of our daughters is coming today That will be so nice… we have not seen her in months… Between our health, their jobs and school we don’t see our children and grandchildren much.. we are spread out on the east coast… Could be worse one family used to live in WA.  I use to fly there. But when I did I went to Port Orchard to see my fav author.  And when I go visit another in Va I see another author who live in Maryland.  There is good and bad with life and we must roll with the punches as they say..

Going to pick up some more books today.. Will be all set to sell Waiting for Agnes for another month.. Sales have picked up lately  Have put in lots of authors this past week.. Gwen Hunter, Charlotte Hughes, Tony Hillerman,Andra Kane just a few… Have a new Fern Michaels “Under the Radar”  after this one only one left in the sisterhood series…  The next book  I am reading is an old Diane McCall… Have not read to many of her books… Since my books are not selling I might as well read them.. And no one is reading and commenting on my blog so no sense writing about them… (my own pity party is over)  

Its going to be very hot here and the gas prices are $2.75 as of dinner last night… so don’t buy next to I75 come into town to walmart its about a half a mile further in on 90.  Have a great weekend and enjoy your families..

Memorial Day

Today we thank those men and woman who have served us well all the way back to forever…. Remember the men and woman who might of not made it home again. I can remember only one person that  I knew well who did not make it home.. His name is on the Vietnam Wall in Washington DC.  My thoughts are with his family today.. I think of him often.. at odd moments.. I know we would of had different lives today no matter what else might of happened…

I want to thank the baby boomers, my cousins who served and came home to good lives… One cousin who served came home and started fishing in Alaska where he lived with his family… It was and is a cold hard life but its what he choose and my hat is off to you for sticking with what you wanted..  I took the easy way out .. Married the first guy who asked.. But I have two lovely children and their children… Then later in life I was gifted with two lovely stepchildren who were raised by their Mother and Father to be very respectful (I could not ask for better stepchildren.) Our Grandchildren all 7 from both marriages are great… We are so blessed this Memorial Day.

Flee Market

This coming week we will be adding talking books on CD’s and tapes. Also Movie DVD’s and music CD’s   Reba, Collin Raye, Gwen Stefani, Arron Tippin etc

We will Not be going to the Flee Market this weekend or any other this summer.. 4th day for ducks No Flee Market ….

Rain again.. our lakes should be getting up to the levels they need to be… I know the one I showed you yesterday in my yard is back up after it had receded a little…

I guess my picture of the day should be of the ducks they are here in our town but not right by my house. we have birds and rabbits… here…

Today is a clean house and do last minute things for the weekend…. I have a load in the dryer so I can have jeans… don’t need the drawer full of shorts yet… I am not planning on putting anymore books in this weekend… I have some new children’s books to put in… And I am looking for those books on the summer reading lists… send me yours at readerwave@bellsouth.net

New Dawn, a New Day…….

I have been listening to Michael Buble, love his singing… He will be the future son-in -law to writer composer David Foster.. How cool is that.. He has had success with songs for C.Dion, W.Huston, etc… ………………….

Today has started out as foggy… Its lifting… Not much going on around here.. Its like I don’t want to get a project started with the weekend coming.  I heard from one of my South Florida friends and she is coming up her over the holiday weekend… That will be fun.. Have not seen her in a few months .. we talk on the phone often.. Another of my friends is going on a bike run to DC and will get together with her goddaughter(my daughter) as she and family live not far away… That will be great also…

My mom has two projects started.. yesterday she was showing me her fingers where they are swollen.. and her eyes hurt… Told her to slow down and her thought was I get bored… She turns on her books and she falls asleep… Don’t know what to do with her…

Our veg.. are growing great.. found a product to stop the worms… its so nice not to check them every day… We have tomatoes and squash… Lots of tomatoes on the vines…squash we have blooms so far…

We go yard sale in the morning.. I hope there are some good one… I need some good sales to put some cash in the flow..LOL….

Waiting for Agnes is my only seller lately and it goes in spurts….Help… I really don’t want to close… http://readerwave.ecrater.com or http://readerwave.com What will I do with all my books…. and its fun…

The Rambler…

Was listing of books in eBay yesterday all day. Mostly action aventure. Then I worked on certain authors where I have a lot of one person. I have these books in another place.. I worked on Susan Wiggs, I will get Sherryl Woods and a few others… Alot of my books I listed last year I will be offering in a yard sale so I can have funds to go looking with and free up some space in my small room…

My step-daughter is coming today for the weekend.. It will take her all day to get here so will put good use to the day and get lots of listing done… I am not getting a lot of sales in my stores I wonder how other people are doing…. there is no way for me to tell if anyone is even reading my blog… Well I am off to another book……… You know this blog should be known as the rambler as that is how I talk…. I travel back and forth from one subject to another and back again. My thoughts never stay at the same thing till its done….
