What are you reading? Are you sure it will be something you must have your friend read…Even if they don’t like the same kind of books you do. Or it would be like my friend who does not like to read at all. I am always telling her about a book or my book store and she is so nice she listens and tells me all the right things. The key word here is listens…. We should be listening to each other even if we are not so keen on the subject matter.. I have learned over the years how to be a listener. I am the biggest talker or was… I have learned how to sit and be quite and be by myself… Can you do that.. I learned this from a great man. Yap the same great man I wrote about last year.He is still here doing great things.. This summer he drove me to NY State to bury my parents.. Now he has been out in the garage for over a week building me a sewing machine cabinet. Its looking so nice. And I am being so nice to him I let him take me to dinner last night..I would let him take me to the post office to mail books but I have not sold any in a couple of days… It started off so nice we went three days in a row… Waiting for Agnes is waiting over here in a corner to be put in a bag to be mailed all over the place… We have shipped all over the US, Canada, England, Sweden, Lots of different places we can do it again..

on our vacation this balloon landed and took off again by our hotel
I sold two book in two days this is wonderful. One here in Florida the other in Sweden. I mailed one yesterday and the other today. Will be going to yard sales this morning. Can’t wait love doing this.. Have to go back to the library and Wal-Mart to return books.. I have read this series and had forgotten. And it was just this winter.
I wrote out my news letter for the Flea Market. mentioned that I am putting the sale table out first Saturday in August. I wish I had room and money to expand would make it a every week thing for both Children’s books and Harlequin/Silhouette. I have some Condensed books, customer was asking for them a while ago and found some and they have not been back.. Also some large print. had a good week… Found more Nora Roberts. I am getting a lot of trade these days.. So I have not been able to get under my counters and put it out no room.. I did trade on my hardcover table took some off and put others out. Going to put away biography this week so I have room for some other things that sell better.. I am collecting strawberry boxes.. I can fit 28 books nicely and I can read the titles on them nicely. They will be great for when I have to move the book store in October because of the fair. I wish the Flea Market was open Thursday though Sunday that would be great.Of course there are people who work those days and can’t come But there are allot of us who are retired and could come. Something to think about.

Addition
Thursday, July 15th, 2010Might have some new news.. Not sure that is correct English. We are talking about expanding one more space in our book store.. This will give us more room for older books,Children’s, Harlequin sale table can come back. I will not be able to afford buying lots of books to fill this space so if you have trades, or want to just get rid of some of your books contact me here or at the Lake City Flea Market.. They must be in good to better shape not moldy, no animal smells, cover must be in good shape… At this time we will take hardcovers as well… We will expand our front table to one more table across the front of the booth.. the ways in will be the same.. The new booth will have no entering point the entrance will remain as it is .
To the person who had to have a book about God and gave me a DOLLOR that I turned into the bank and not nothing for … If you had asked me nicely I might of given you the book… Being dishonest will not get you back into my store I will remember you.
I am thinking about putting my gift shelves back in and doing some gift items also… And going to try making book covers… see how that goes…

Beautiful Library in Upstate NY
Wednesday, July 14th, 2010Yesterday was a wow day.. I lost something and someone found and returned..I went to one of my places to find books and a customer was there and shared his loot.. found 4 grocery brown bags full.. Went some other places and found more.. Nothing that anyone asked for just some that are needed to replace some others.. Going to bookstore today and get what I can that people are looking for. I hate to do it this way but I have steady customers who are looking and I want to keep them coming… The good buys I got this week will off set the book store buys as they cost me a more than I sell for… I have had to go up in price in some things as I get more, I would never up price of something I already had… Unless the whole store was going up like if I had my rent made higher. If you live in the Lake City,Florida area and are looking for a place to donate book and just don’t want to throw them away give me a shout. write to me here…Anything I can’t use in my store I will pass on to an agency looking for donations. I will have Childrens and Harliquin back in late August or early September.. So keep checking back. I am running low on them and have to re stock…. Have a great day.

Productive Week
Monday, April 19th, 2010New week… great start….
Last week we got allot done… cleaned out every room in the house had yard sale on Friday sold all the important stuff.. Then had one thing I told someone about while working the Flee Market on Saturday and they came and picked it up.. So that is over. As far as Flee Market goes it was a slow money week.. Had lots of new customers.. We have a new sign out side the building that brought allot of people in… This week going to work on putting items for sale on eBay and or eCRATER. So check them both out.
We have “Waiting for Agnes” by local author Joe Bullard. Another sleepless night

Man it is hell getting older. I use to lay down and be sleep in 15 minutes or less. Now its hours… and sometimes right away then wake up in two and stay awake for hours.. Get a lot of time on the computer at night.. Try not to think of eating at night.. Its bad enough during the day.. I am a dreamer and a thinker.. There are things always going on in my head. I sometimes don’t realize I have been asleep as I go to sleep thinking and wake up with the same thoughts. Weekends are hard for me to sleep. I get excited to be going to my bookstore on Saturdays and Sundays. I sell used books at the Lake City Flee Market and have so many things going on.. I sell most books for $1.00 I trade a book and .50 for a book.. I buy some books.. westerns and christian. I will be adding some authors to that list soon.. I have been lax about checking dates of books as I don’t want anything older than 1990. People have been slipping them in. So now I will have to be more careful and check dates of books..
I sell one new book and it’s signed by author. “Waiting for Agnes” by local author Joe Bullard. I am the only one who sells this book locally and online. I always have a couple with me at the market. Dear Blog
Friday, April 9th, 2010Good Morning dear blog.. I am so sorry I have been missing you every morning.. I have been very busy with my farms(farmville and farmtown, Country life and my Island Paradise. That and grand children, getting ready for a yard sale this Friday or Next. Receiving and looking for new pieces of furniture. Oh and my book store and my online book.. Then there is my hubby who is having some minor surgery this coming week..
Today is yard sales (other peoples) we did real well last week. Hoping to do as well this week.. Our online book “Waiting for Agnes” we put it back on Amazon at authors request. Has done well so far. Remember we have it on eBay, amazon, and ecrater. Then if you are local we have it at the Lake City Flee Market on the weekends. Come inside to “The Book Store”
