eBay SHOTS

Thursday been busy finishing up a book. Which is dumb now I have to start a different one as I one I want to start I ordered yesterday so it will be Monday before I get it..

I have been putting my Shot Glasses on eBay this week and mailed a set out yesterday. I have been doing them in lots … Trying to clean my room out a little.  I have PostCards  on there also.

Got a bill from Florida for taxes.. I almost died… as I had already paid it.. So went to my local office here in town and found out it was a mistake.. I am so glad..

We have been internet shopping this week for a dog.. We want to see what is around before we go traveling very far.. I want a young black, white and tan cocker spaniel.  I have a name but they come with names already.. So I am going to name my stuffed dog B B MA . I love that name. I want this dog as a birthday present but looks like it might not happen. My husband has been looking real hard. There are 12 days left so someone better help him… LOL

I went book shopping this week at our local library. Found some that I needed for my store. I also got a book list for author Barbara Delinsky and marked all the books off that I have in my store have a customer who just started reading her. I just started reading Kaki Warner and Sara Luck.

What are you reading? Are you sure it will be something you must have your friend read…Even if they don’t like the same kind of books you do. Or it would be like my friend who does not like to read at all.  I am always telling her about a book or my book store and she is so nice she listens and tells me all the right things. The key word here is listens…. We should be listening to each other even if we are not so keen on the subject matter.. I have learned over the years how to be a listener. I am the biggest talker or was… I have learned how to sit and be quite and be by myself… Can you do that.. I learned this from a great man. Yap the same great man I wrote about last year.He is still here doing great things.. This summer he drove me to NY State to bury my parents.. Now he has been out in the garage for over a week building me a sewing machine cabinet.  Its looking so nice. And I am being so nice to him I let him take me to dinner last night..I would let him take me to the post office to mail books but I have not sold any in a couple of days… It started off so nice we went three days in a row… Waiting for Agnes is waiting over here in a corner to be put in a bag to be mailed all over the place… We have shipped all over the US, Canada, England, Sweden, Lots of different places we can do it again.. Thursday means Surviver

Surviver  who will make it thought tonight’s game… Now this is a strange way to make a day you say… Some times when you retire that’s what you have to remember your days by.  Today I go to the doctor for the next shot in my knee, only 4 more to go counting today.Going to a new store we found to look for books… Hope to find some of the authors you all love.. James Patterson(tried one of his books this week I got to 5 chapter and gave up..) to much killing for me .. I want soft stuff to read.. maybe someone is mad at someone but its everyday life… some hurting and killing but not allot of blood and guts..I will keep these authors on hand for you but I don’t have to read them. I am reading a Fern Michaels that I picked up at the store this week.  I am hoping to find some westerns this week..

For those of you waiting for shot glasses and dolls to be put in my store I am sorry I have not been able to get started.. I have a road block in my mind.. I will get going soon.. bare with me please…

We are home!  Glad to be back but sure glad we went. We miss all our children and grandchildren when we are away from each other.  Can’t wait to go to VA in a couple of weeks to see some more grands. 

We have been putting away and cleaning this morning. I have all the Christmas wrap back in the closet. But its not so far back that I can’t use it to get started again. I have a drawer full of stuff already from after holiday shopping.

Need to go to Mother today. She fell last night.. she has a goose egg on her elbow .. She has not told me yet. The place called to tell me this morning that she fell last night. She did not brake anything so they did not call us to wake us up…That was nice… I called Mom right away and she did not mention it at all..

I am wondering how my flee market store did while I was away. I hope it made even at least. Its been a hard start to get people inside. It has to change or Gene will nicely suggest that I move outside again.

Does not seem possible that its the end of the year already.

This morning, Day before Thanksgiving

Well so far I have had someone who wants to rent my house..Told them they did not have the right number my house was not for rent.. But that’s the number on the sign.. Tried to tell them one of the numbers should be a O not mine… Finally… I have been thought this several times… Then my Mother called to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving… Thanked her and told her it was the day before… Then while I have you on the phone she went though a list of things she wants brought to her… and she gave me a list yesterday.  I was expecting this … 

I have gotten some applesauce I made and froze out of the freezer to see if it holds up when frozen…

I have had two orders over night for three books this is good… I hope it keeps up… I need so sell some books to pay my author I sell for … Its been a while  and I have not had a sale… maybe with the holidays coming it will pick up…

Books and shots……….

Put in 15 books in my eCRATER store yesterday. Several of the books I had read over the years.. They are good … Geralyn Dawson’s “My Big Old Texas Heartache”  Rachel Gibon’s “Not Another Bad Date”, just to name a couple… Have over 1200 books in my store and growing. Over 125 authors in category section I have over 1000 more books to put in..Going to take a brake this week on putting and more books and concentrate on a bottom of a book of shot glasses to go in my store for them at Shotglassheaven. This box has been eye balling me for a while now.. So around 5am I emptied it onto my desk… (I never say our desk) it belongs to Gene too… He just does not use it as much as I do… Anyways have over 30 shots to take pictures of and enter into store..

I would love to write about interesting things we do.. If we did any…Gene made me scrambled eggs with cheese this morning… I called and left a I love you message on my daughters cellphone… She can’t talk while at work so I leave messages she will see when she take a brake or goes to lunch.. Oh went and got a hair trim when I picked up some more books”Waiting for Agnes”.

Well chop chop back to work… Have a great day…

Authors that you can find by there name are Janet Dailey’s “The Only Thing Better Than Chocolate”,Robyn Carr’s “Runaway Mistress” (I read this one some time ago great book), Jasmine Crosswell “Inheritance”.  In our store we have over 1200 items… 1100 are books new and used. Waiting for Agnes………

agnesThanks you…. for being my friend……………sales are picking up and that makes me a happy camper.. so to speak..es, .. Everyday is a better day. Thank you God… for being there for me and making me see that I need to be a better person… Think of others before myself. Lots of folks are out of work and I am just here at home with a husband who takes care of me… and my mother… I am very lucky….

I have a wonderful hobby that I would love to turn into a business.. If that happens it would be wonderful. If it doesn’t its been fun for the past 5 yrs… and I have been in the black the whole time…

Our little town needs a book store..New books used books and gifts (local)we could make this happen with the right marketing and some help form the right people.. God is the first one … I know I don’t write things so well and no one is going to read or comment so I am getting my thoughts out in the open so its there…

Well need to get some things done.. Have to go get more Waiting for Agnes from author Joe Bullard… need to see his lovely wife and get a hair cut… and Gene too… Our dishwasher is coming this morning….so I need to go clean out the old one and put dishes away I washed last night…I want to finish putting books on my desk in the computer so I can have over a 1000 items in my online store… In July will start putting in the rest of the shotglasses that I have in the box in my office and then start a new one from the garage… I have lots of them… had over 1300 glasses at one time.. have sold about 50 maybe in the last year… you can find them at http://shotglassheaven.com   books at http://readerwave.com   You will also fine LeapPad items.. books, cartridges, and machines, audio books, cookbooks, reference, religion, so many kinds and of course my fav Debbie Macomber, even her newest one Summer on Blossom Street and its signed… saw her in person last month…  (There was a lady there in Tallahassee who’s picture we took would like to send to her by email or mail if she would contact me… Well I think my book is written for today.. Anyone reading this and coming to the Flee Market I will take a trade book and 25 cents for each book you want… I will take trade ins and hold a credit for you. So bring in your books and we will keep a tab…

We are going to go looking at cars and trucks.. used for my hauling of books..  I need to get more business going… Maybe ad in the paper will help… Sometimes you have to spend money to make money.
