Summer Colds

What a week and its Wednesday… Been sick with a cold and I always have such a time with them… Starts with the throat.. Had soar throat for 4 days.. nothing seamed to help.. Then it moved to my head and chest..At this point it was Monday and I called doctor and got meds I had taken last year and worked so well.. They are working but I still feel lifeless… Hubby has been sick also so we have been doing it together… No one feels like doing anything…

On the bright side heard from an old customer from another town in Florida.. She was wondering what happened to my online store.. Well it was doing nothing so I took it down. I now have a store at the Flea Market in Lake City.  I am inside the building please tell your friends and if you are looking for something let me know. I will keep an eye out for it… if you are looking for an on line store I know of several  www.acread.ecrater.com  and someone I have ordered from many time… is beckisprout on www.eBay.com  she is in Anchorage,Alaska now your books don’t come as fast as they would in lower US. But the books look great the price is right and the service is excellent.

Productive Week

New week… great start….

Last week we got allot done… cleaned out every room in the house had yard sale on Friday sold all the important stuff.. Then had one thing I told someone about while working the Flee Market on Saturday and they came and picked it up.. So that is over. As far as Flee Market goes it was a slow money week.. Had lots of new customers.. We have a new sign out side the building that brought allot of people in… This week going to work on putting items for sale on eBay and or eCRATER. So check them both out.

We have “Waiting for Agnes” by local author Joe Bullard. Books, that’s all I think about these days.  I love my little book store.. Its only open two days a week.. I know its not a lot but its mine. I have wanted a book store for many years.  And this is how I can have it.. I have met many people who come and talk to me each week… This is my highlight.. I miss interacting with people.. I had that when I worked out.. I don’t miss working just some of the people.. So now I have that two days a week.. Three if I count Fridays that I go to clean and set up… This week we are going to have lunch with family on Thursday.. We have not done that in a while.  For those of you looking for Fantasy, I found quite a few this week. Have not had any in a very long time.  I am looking for Science Fiction and True Crime… Always looking for Westerns.

Waiting for Agnes has had a good run in the past two weeks… great book.. by Author Joe Bullard.  I am going to start offering it at the flee market this week … Check it out.  It will be $2o.00 we sell for $19.99 on line but then you have shipping fee’s  Its just easier to sell for an even number than carry pennies around… LOL…

Wow “Waiting for Agnes” by Joe Bullard the one book I am selling on line these days has been selling real well this week… Someone has gotten the word out to their friends or someone has read it and getting more copys.. Thanks, makes life so much better in my pocketbook.  Its a great book.

What a year this has started out to be. January brought the death of my Mother. February just a month later my birthday and I was sick as a dog all week… And its just the second week of the month. We are on the East Coast luckily we are not up north.. we have no snow.. But we are in Florida and my yard looks like Lake West as we call it every spring.  It has rained steady sense midnight last night.  Of course as I mentioned I have been sick all week and its suppose to be very cold this weekend so my flee market store will be closed.  I can’t take the chance of getting sicker.  I made the grocery list and hubby went to grocery store.  I did get the clothes out of dryer from Monday and put a new load of wash in washer and they made it to the dryer today and now are ready to come out.  The one good thing about all this sickness I have lost 7 or 8 lbs… But the terrible thing is I got sick before we got to South Florida to have birthday celebration with grandson.  I am so sorry GW… we love you very much.  I did finish a book I started several weeks ago… I have been thinking about working on Mothers doll collection.. I need to find out what it or they are worth and what I want to do about it.  I took one of her chairs to the flee market sense my booth is inside I can have it there.. and be more comfortable.  I have decided to keep her thimble collection I did send one to a friend of Mothers who asked for one. It had her name on it.. It came that way.. I know as I bought for her.  I am missing working as I had Friday all worked out in my head.. Now I have to wait for next Friday and hope the weather is better…Thanks everyone for all the kindness you have shown us in the past month..

Well I have one book left in my Readerwave Store. Little by little I have been taking them out and taking them to the flee market so this morning I just took all but one out. “Waiting for Agnes” by Florida Native Joe Bullard. Book is about the Coral Castle built in the 1950′s with huge coral boulders… Great book and a good seller for Joe and I.

Rambling Crazy Woman is Back……….

There is so much going on in my life that my brain won’t shut off… I have slept l hour this evening.. Its now 5 am… I have layed in my bed almost all night.. The rest of the time I was playing games on the computer… I got so tired I thought I would go to sleep.. I just went back to bed and layed with my eyes closed and thought about everything the rest of the night.

We are working on getting medicaid for my Mother so we can place her in a very nice assisted living.. We want to be able to travel or take off if we want.. There is a very nice Christian one here and someone was nice enough to tell us about it.We went to check it out.. It looks like a very large farm house from the out side… huge front porch goes across the whole front… The rooms are semi private.. Large.. She can have her big tv  mounted on the wall she can have her  (computer)that is nice as she loves to get mail…The only problem I have is I know she does not want to go.. But I want to   to take off on a whim and go can’t do that with her here as I have to find someone or somewhere to take her can’t leave her alone for more than a day.. She can’t see well and can’t use microwave or stove…so she would be eating cold meals.. She can’t see what’s in the ref.. as the light shins in her eyes when she opens the door.. She knows where certain things are and that is where we put the things where she knows that they are… If she can’t be placed before the holidays I am getting her signed up for a weeks stay… so we can go south for the holidays.. She now uses oxygen 24-7 and the machine is noise.  She has Asama and takes three breathing treatments a day.. Yesterday I showed her how to do it herself.. I did not watch or listen for her to take them past the first one.. I asked her at night if she took her third one and she told me of course.. As I said I did not listen for her.. and I am not going to check her garbage for the little vile. She is a grown person…

I have not worked on my online store in some time.. I have not had a sale in the past two weeks… I took my one book Waiting for Agnes of eBay a while back.. Last night i put it back on.. I want to see if this makes a difference… Will give it a week if it does not pick back up I will take it off and leave it off… Prices on eBay are getting to high…

I have been working on my Flee Market store getting it ready for when the fair is over.. It starts back up the weekend of Gene’s birthday. His kids are going to be here… I am going to ask them if they mind that I go till noon on the Saturday they are here.. They would never be ready to do anything to late morning anyways.. I can do a lot of business the first day back.  And people will be expecting me.. I am thinking of getting two booths… so I can carry more books… But have not decided about that yet….I may just buy another table to take with me… that would make me 5 tables and a card table…

So as you can see I have a lot on my mind.. I have a trip to one of my daughters planned and another to plan and that is with out my husband… If my mother is here so he can stay with her…

I need to get my stores but and running again as I have a new car to pay for… This is another reason to get my flee market and online stores up and running more …

Rambling Woman get Worse

There are allot of things going on today.. I need to do laundry, get the last of the things ready and in the car to be transported to my sister-in-laws house for a yard sale tomorrow… Most important I need to start making phone calls to find a place to deliver a oxygen machine with breathing treatments for my Mom. Doctors office doesn’t seem to be able to find a place to take her insurance. Sense doctors office is in a different town a half hour away from us maybe I can have better luck… Cross your fingers and toes…

I have been having pain in my arms again.. the meds they gave me when I fell seem to take the edge off of it… I don’t think the doctor will fill this… So will have to find another way to take care of this….I hate taking pain meds and I am finding I have a terrible tolerance to pain.. And I thought I was so good at it… I think its my arthritis and being a heavy person does not help..I know this … I wish I was taller then my fat would have more places to hide… I need to get out and walk with my neighbors… The only excuse I have is they are so ahead of me I would keep them back.. I could get out and ride my bike and I have no excuse for not doing that… I will start today… after dinner… that is when I use to ride… I am making myself a promise… If anyone wants to ride or walk with me just let me know, we can even do it long distance by phone… LOL….

I am going to my daughters after the holidays I can’t decide if I want to fly or drive… no one but me wants me to drive…I would love it if my youngest daughter would drive one way with me and fly home… We might even be able to pick up my friend on the way. That would be fun. Then my cousin is coming to Florida for the winter and is going to rent a car. Maybe her family can drive her to my daughters house and she can drive home with me… So when I leave my friend off I will still have someone to drive with.  I would love it if she decided to find a place not so far from us..I would have someone to hang out with… This year I think I will make a couple of trips over to my sister-in-laws to visit with out my husband… That is my thoughts for now .. She and husband live and hour from us…We have always thought we could hang out together.. but when I got rid of my other car that was not possible now that I have another car it might be..It will give me a little more freedom not that I need to get away from anyone here.. Its just nice to be with another woman and just have fun….

I have been thinking of making me an old fashioned dress apron to wear at the flee market I have lots of Holiday material and it would be fun to have one for the holidays and one for after… I am getting in the making spirit again.. Have not been there for a long time… Making gifts for the girls and they are coming out pretty good.. My biggest problem is the tying off … I hope I am doing it right.. We will see when the girls start using there gifts… They are making up so fast I might even make me some for when I go to my daughters…

My book store on line has been real slow… I have not added anything to it in a while… have over 1300 items… I have been real busy with my items for the flee market  and trying to decide if I want to go bigger when I go back… I would have to get more customers… And the weather has allot to do with it… I do not want to go inside as the people don’t seem inclined to go there… I don’t know why other than the same people sell in there…all the time…There has to be a way to get people to come in there… I have been thinking and thinking on it..

Well time to get up and get moving.. I might be going to yard sales this morning… will see what my husbands thoughts are on the subject… I cut out all the paper for the list of places to go.. He will put them in order and I will tape them to a sheet of paper to get us on the way… I need to go to Joe Bullards today to pick up more of his “Waiting for Agnes” I have one left… I have sold over 200 copys of this book… I am so glad that I started selling for him and for me…

Ramblings of a Crazy Woman

Google Analytics this fetcher on my computer is a wonder and an enjoyment to me.. When my daughter told me she cold show me who was on my sites I was shocked.. not names of people but what  towns and how they got to my site. There is a wheel that shows if they came direct, like they knew our store address or blog… If they came by way of a search engine.. Like google … Even what countries,states and towns… Like yesterday some one from the southwest looked at a book.  From Powey that is in California I think…

Wish it could tell me what to do to make people look more and then buy.. I love my bookstore and my shot glass store.. It makes me feel bad that I don’t do better at it.. I do better at the flea market… I can’t offer as much there as its to hard to carry everything with me…

We are having a fair in our town in the next few weeks so our flee market is closed down to get ready for it… I think I will go this year to get a better understanding of it… Also there is a book fair at the Library in the next town over this week and I got some really go buys last year so I am going to go get a look at it… I will need to be careful so I think I will take some boxes with me and a dolly… I have a plastic one that I can use put the box on it and go around with it so I don’t have to carry items then I will have boxes in the car that I can switch to it will take longer.  The reason I will have to be careful is I feel yesterday in our grocery store parking lot.. Spent several hours at the hospital getting x rays… I am on some good meds.. as I don’t hurt like I thought I would this morning.. I am going to go off them this morning to see how I feel… So I can get the pain level to tell the doctor when I call for my checkup date…

As you can see I am a rambler.. This is my blog to tell my story… To let my hair down so to speak..So I talk on here as if I were talking to someone here at home… But if you have read my blogs in the past I am the talker of this family..(husband and I)..I love him,our children(his and mine) books and shot glasses… I have two online  stores Readerwave who has moved from 4 years of being on eBay to being on eCRATER.. www.readerwave.com or www.readerwave.ecrater.com  I list most of my books by author… I can place as many books as I want on this site with no charge… for listing or selling.. You say how do they make there money.. from advertising. If I wanted I could place ads and lots of people do.. I don’t… Prices at eBay got to high for the amount that I was selling… I sell a book “Waiting for Agnes”by a local author in our area Joe Bullard..This book has sold real good for me… I have offered it on eBay, Amazon and eCRATER… I have sold over 200 copies and some are more than one to a person.. Make wonderful gifts and its signed.. That is the added feature I can offer that no one else can.. And the fact I am the only one offering NEW signed copies… They make wonderful gifts… If you are a Florida history buff its great… If you want to give a copy to your Library its great… I have sold copies to many countries… I feature some of my favorite authors I am a romance,suspense reader… Some of my favorite authors many of them write stories that are a series about small town USA Debbie Macomber-Cedar Cove (fashioned after her hometown of Port Orchard,Washington..(I have been there its across the bay from Seattle..)great place… This year they held Cedar Cove Days and to hear tell it was great.. I think I can quote someone who went that said there were 40 States and lots of countries represented…   You can read about this author more on her blog  www.debbiemacomber.com  Then there is Robyn Carr and Virgin River fashioned after no particular town but after the northern redwood area of California… you can read about Rybon Carr more at her site www.robyncarr.com  Then there is Diana Palmer and The Long Tall Texans series from Jacobsville, Texas another made up town of small town America. www.dianapalmer.com  Another one which I found by accident two summers ago when I had decided to read books with a series.. and new authors to me… I found JoAnn Mapson who wrote a series about Alaska and a young wheelchair bound girl trying to keep her plant nursery going that was left to her in a will by her aunt… loved it… I have always wanted to visit there and I did thought these stories.. There are so many authors with series that I love. Joan Johnston who writes about early history in America… (settlers) Then there is Jan Karon who writes about Medford  another small town USA… www.jankaron.com   These are just a few… there are so many more.. If you have an author who writes a series you think I should try please let me know.  I have read allot of authors with a series this is just the icing on the cake so to speak… There is Susan Wiggs, Rachel Lee, Janet Evanovich, Sherryl Woods, Luanne Rice, Linda Lael Miller she has a wonderful series that I follow … www.lindalaelmiller.com  also Fern Micheals and the sisterhood , www.fernmicheals.com  then there is Dorothy Garlock who write about the early days in America the 30′s on up…great stories… There are just to many to mention…. www.dorothygarlock.com  

I like going to book signings.. In January I heard about one with 12 local authors being there.. I traveled an hour from my home and it was well worth it.. I met some of the nicest woman and I had not read any of  them … I have read almost all the books I bought and had autographed that day.. I sent several to my daughter as she likes to read of vampires and I don’t find that to be my cup of tea…

Ramblings of a Crazy Woman is what I am changing my blog title to instead of Google Analytics as it is at the moment… I am not Crazy as the saying goes just crazy about Romance Novels… and their authors… Thanks for listening to my rambling… as we all hear a voice in our head as we read, I do…

Holiday Shopping

I have lots to get done… I should of got the stuff for my store done already… Not…. Want to take all the K-nec’s we have and package them up with directions and get ready to put them in my store and try some at the flee market… I wish my grands were here to help me do this… They use to love to play with them.. The girls.. guys never got into it… I am cleaning out my toys as most of the time they bring there own and don’t want to use ours anymore… So holiday time is a great time to do this … I need to find some holiday things to put in my store .. I have used up all of my own that I want to get rid of… So will scope out the shops… etc…

I am really going to put books in my store this week and I am going to look into my boxes of shot glasses and see if I can find my TN ones some one asked me about…
