Last week we got allot done… cleaned out every room in the house had yard sale on Friday sold all the important stuff.. Then had one thing I told someone about while working the Flee Market on Saturday and they came and picked it up.. So that is over. As far as Flee Market goes it was a slow money week.. Had lots of new customers.. We have a new sign out side the building that brought allot of people in… This week going to work on putting items for sale on eBay and or eCRATER. So check them both out.

We have “Waiting for Agnes” by local author Joe Bullard. He will have a new book coming out this summer. keep looking for it.. you can find both books at the Flee Market (Agnes is already there).  or www.readerwave.com www.ebay.com www.readerwave.ecrater.com www.amazon.com   As I said I will have many other things for sale in the next weeks and months. I use to lay down and be sleep in 15 minutes or less. Now its hours… and sometimes right away then wake up in two and stay awake for hours.. Get a lot of time on the computer at night.. Try not to think of eating at night.. Its bad enough during the day.. I am a dreamer and a thinker.. There are things always going on in my head. I sometimes don’t realize I have been asleep as I go to sleep thinking and wake up with the same thoughts.  Weekends are hard for me to sleep. I get excited to be going to my bookstore on Saturdays and Sundays.  I sell used books at the Lake City Flee Market  and have so many things going on..  I sell most books for $1.00 I trade a book and .50 for a book.. I buy some books.. westerns and christian.  I will be adding some authors to that list soon..  I have been lax about checking dates of books as I don’t want anything older than 1990. People have been slipping them in. So now I will have to be more careful and check dates of books..

I sell one new book and it’s signed by author.  “Waiting for Agnes” by local author Joe Bullard.  I am the only one who sells this book locally and online.  I always have a couple with me at the market. January brought the death of my Mother. February just a month later my birthday and I was sick as a dog all week… And its just the second week of the month. We are on the East Coast luckily we are not up north.. we have no snow.. But we are in Florida and my yard looks like Lake West as we call it every spring.  It has rained steady sense midnight last night.  Of course as I mentioned I have been sick all week and its suppose to be very cold this weekend so my flee market store will be closed.  I can’t take the chance of getting sicker.  I made the grocery list and hubby went to grocery store.  I did get the clothes out of dryer from Monday and put a new load of wash in washer and they made it to the dryer today and now are ready to come out.  The one good thing about all this sickness I have lost 7 or 8 lbs… But the terrible thing is I got sick before we got to South Florida to have birthday celebration with grandson.  I am so sorry GW… we love you very much.  I did finish a book I started several weeks ago… I have been thinking about working on Mothers doll collection.. I need to find out what it or they are worth and what I want to do about it.  I took one of her chairs to the flee market sense my booth is inside I can have it there.. and be more comfortable.  I have decided to keep her thimble collection I did send one to a friend of Mothers who asked for one. It had her name on it.. It came that way.. I know as I bought for her.  I am missing working as I had Friday all worked out in my head.. Now I have to wait for next Friday and hope the weather is better…Thanks everyone for all the kindness you have shown us in the past month..

Sunday night I am shutting down for the Christmas holidays. You won’t get Christmas delivery on books at this late date.

Today is the last shopping day at my Flee Market store here in Lake City. I am inside out of the cold and wind.. Come in and look around I have lots of new stock going in today.I will be open next week. I will be away have helpers looking out for my store.

I can always add later on.

Remember I am moving my books inside the flee market and making a little store.. Be sure to tell everyone you know and bring a friend… I have an ad in the paper a customer called and she had seen it but did not know it was me.  Ouch…

Looking for someone to work the weekend after Christmas.  I will be away. I hate to close down and loose money… and maybe customers. If you are interested let me know.

I want to find a company that can sell me new books for a low price so I can offer them.. Also order them if I have an author coming for a signing.

That would be so cool.. I could not tell you how many times I have entered something and lost.. But its such a great thing to enter.. There is always a chance.  And when you don’t enter you don’t win.. My daughter thought that we would get to be on Oprah for the holiday show and I was telling her that it said a show now which one.. Just to win a trip together would be great. Our husbands both know how to handle themselves alone.  My son in law has 2 daughters to keep him in line and my husband can go see my Mother in her assisted living home… She’ll keep him straight!  LOL…

I have been working on my books for the flee market I am moving inside this week.. I guess its a good thing as its raining.. I wanted to have someone stand out side the building and hand out my business cards but I guess that is out of the question as its suppose to rain Saturday morning. Friday I go and set up.. That should be fun.. I have been going though my boxes and putting them in order so they are easier to put up. I only have a couple of hours to do this in.  Hope to see you there… Bring a friend

The Book Lady

Moving inside the building at the Flee Market in Lake City. I have been outside in the weather and would like to move out of the winter wind.. I can have more books this way with shelves that stay there at all times.. Be better on my back.  Will be there starting this Saturday at 7 am come visit me.. I will have surprises and sales… Remember that I sell my books for $1.00 or trade one book and .50  no more trade two and no money. I must make my rent payment to keep me there.. If you are looking for a certain author let me know. I will try to help you out with that.

That’s OK.. I have bad grammer and spelling… But that’s OK too.. I am the one who reads me… If I am having a problem with my thoughts its good to let them get out.  Like my book store  would love to have a real one..But I can see that it would be a bust in my town. I am barely making it at the flee market how would I do it at a real store 6 days a week… I don’t have the extra cash laying around to take on something like that. I don’t know how to handle the finances… I do it the easiest I can with my online store and flee market.. I only buy what I can afford.. I am always in the black…have one person I ever owe money too…

My dalima(sp) now is weather I should go inside at the flee market or stay outside. Inside I would be able to leave my books there at all times.. It would cost me more but I could have more stock.  I would need to be there every weekend or have someone cover for me. If you read this leave me some feedback.. I would not even know what to pay the person.. My thought was what ever profit was made up to $4o.oo and anything over that is mine. I need an honest person… someone I can trust.. its not like I have a cash register to keep track of inventory…

Yesterday I went to the flee market here and it started out in the high 30′s and I used one of  hubbys pea caps..So when I came home I started making one of my own.. But I could not get it done in time to wear today.. About half done will be done for next week..  I was trying to make a apron with holiday fabric but have decided a full apron will not fit over my coat and maybe a carpenter apron will real long ties  would be better… So I will work on that this week…   I don’t have my sewing machine anymore so have to cut and go stitch at my sister in laws house…  Which will be fine I love going over and visiting with her..

I always run out of Westerns… I found some last night going though my books on line.. I had forgotten that I had them.. So I took them off  line and taking them to the flee market today. 

My online book business is picking up.. Things are looking up. I would like to thank God for getting this store back on track.. I know you have a lot harder things to do… Thanks for looking our way..
