Might have some new news.. Not sure that is correct English. We are talking about expanding one more space in our book store.. This will give us more room for older books,Children’s, Harlequin sale table can come back. I will not be able to afford buying lots of books to fill this space so if you have trades, or want to just get rid of some of your books contact me here or at the Lake City Flea Market.. They must be in good to better shape not moldy, no animal smells, cover must be in good shape… At this time we will take hardcovers as well… We will expand our front table to one more table across the front of the booth.. the ways in will be the same.. The new booth will have no entering point the entrance will remain as it is .

To the person who had to have a book about God and gave me a DOLLOR that I turned into the bank and not nothing for … If you had asked me nicely I might of given you the book… Being dishonest will not get you back into my store I will remember you.

I am thinking about putting my gift shelves back in and doing some gift items also… And going to try making book covers… see how that goes…

The Book Lady

Moving inside the building at the Flee Market in Lake City. I have been outside in the weather and would like to move out of the winter wind.. I can have more books this way with shelves that stay there at all times.. Be better on my back. Will be there starting this Saturday at 7 am come visit me.. I will have surprises and sales… Remember that I sell my books for $1.00 or trade one book and .50 no more trade two and no money. I must make my rent payment to keep me there.. If you are looking for a certain author let me know. I will try to help you out with that.

Rambling Woman get Worse

There are allot of things going on today.. I need to do laundry, get the last of the things ready and in the car to be transported to my sister-in-laws house for a yard sale tomorrow… Most important I need to start making phone calls to find a place to deliver a oxygen machine with breathing treatments for my Mom. Doctors office doesn’t seem to be able to find a place to take her insurance. Sense doctors office is in a different town a half hour away from us maybe I can have better luck… Cross your fingers and toes…

I have been having pain in my arms again.. the meds they gave me when I fell seem to take the edge off of it… I don’t think the doctor will fill this… So will have to find another way to take care of this….I hate taking pain meds and I am finding I have a terrible tolerance to pain.. And I thought I was so good at it… I think its my arthritis and being a heavy person does not help..I know this … I wish I was taller then my fat would have more places to hide… I need to get out and walk with my neighbors… The only excuse I have is they are so ahead of me I would keep them back.. I could get out and ride my bike and I have no excuse for not doing that… I will start today… after dinner… that is when I use to ride… I am making myself a promise… If anyone wants to ride or walk with me just let me know, we can even do it long distance by phone… LOL….

I am going to my daughters after the holidays I can’t decide if I want to fly or drive… no one but me wants me to drive…I would love it if my youngest daughter would drive one way with me and fly home… We might even be able to pick up my friend on the way. That would be fun. Then my cousin is coming to Florida for the winter and is going to rent a car. Maybe her family can drive her to my daughters house and she can drive home with me… So when I leave my friend off I will still have someone to drive with. I would love it if she decided to find a place not so far from us..I would have someone to hang out with… This year I think I will make a couple of trips over to my sister-in-laws to visit with out my husband… That is my thoughts for now .. She and husband live and hour from us…We have always thought we could hang out together.. but when I got rid of my other car that was not possible now that I have another car it might be..It will give me a little more freedom not that I need to get away from anyone here.. Its just nice to be with another woman and just have fun….

I have been thinking of making me an old fashioned dress apron to wear at the flee market I have lots of Holiday material and it would be fun to have one for the holidays and one for after… I am getting in the making spirit again.. Have not been there for a long time… Making gifts for the girls and they are coming out pretty good.. My biggest problem is the tying off … I hope I am doing it right.. We will see when the girls start using there gifts… They are making up so fast I might even make me some for when I go to my daughters…

My book store on line has been real slow… I have not added anything to it in a while… have over 1300 items… I have been real busy with my items for the flee market and trying to decide if I want to go bigger when I go back… I would have to get more customers… And the weather has allot to do with it… I do not want to go inside as the people don’t seem inclined to go there… I don’t know why other than the same people sell in there…all the time…There has to be a way to get people to come in there… I have been thinking and thinking on it..

Well time to get up and get moving.. I might be going to yard sales this morning… will see what my husbands thoughts are on the subject… I cut out all the paper for the list of places to go.. He will put them in order and I will tape them to a sheet of paper to get us on the way… I need to go to Joe Bullards today to pick up more of his “Waiting for Agnes” I have one left… I have sold over 200 copys of this book… I am so glad that I started selling for him and for me…

Well October 1st was a good day for readerwave books.. I sold a few and had several questions…That is good… I hope that is a sign that the times are changing.. We are going to yard sales this morning.. I like to look for more books all the time.. I find my leappad items also.. I am out of one kind that sells well.. I have several toddler items just go to www.readerwave.ecrater.comand look under categories Leap . You will not be disappointed.. Looking for extra books and cartridges.. have those for sale also.

Waiting for Agnes is a signed book by Joe Bullard.. He writes a great book.. I sell this one all the time and have many comebacks for more copies for friends.. Makes a great Holiday gift. Books are great gifts its one of those that keeps on giving.

I am looking for people who read and look at my book store to tell me what authors they like to read and what books they are looking for.

I have a lady who is looking for Ann George never heard of her but I am looking. some one else is looking for Danille Steel I have found one that she wants and I am looking for others… Another lady I do business with is looking for Judith Gould I have found some for her.. These people are repeat customers… I had one lady order from me and write a message with her order.. I am so glad I found you.. I missed you on eBay.. Well I left eBay and let as many customers as I could know I was leaving.. I guess I missed this one.. So sorry if anyone else was missed… I hope you find me at www.readerwave.ecrater.com We are no longer on Amazon either… I the price to sell and maintain on these two sites was getting to high for my pocketbook.. I wanted to keep my prices down to keep my customers coming back to me.. I hope it works and send a friend or co worker along also.

I will be going to the flee market tomorrow morning. I am taking all my older books and selling them at a very low price so I can get newer ones and this sale will free up my boxes and make room and afford me the money to do it with… Thanks for reading and buying from me… Keep coming back and I will try not to bore you as I am not a writer.. Just a person who likes to talk…There is a big difference.. This why I don’t get the big bucks or following… LOL… Have a great day.

Goodbye Amazon and eBay

Due to rising cost and changing polices.. Amazon and eBay have seen the last of my books.. I sell well on both. But I have to pay such high fees that I can’t price my books at the cost I want to give my customers. I have been selling one book on both sites and its not worth it anymore.. Amazon has a new policy that I have to send the book or item to the customer before they pay me. Then if there is a problem I have to fight to get my money.. I dropped them the minute I read that.. Also they charge $5.99 for selling so I have to price things way up to get my money and authors money out of it.. eBay is raising and raising there prices… I am just a simple store who does a few products a week… I am not one of there high end sellers… I do this to please the customer and myself. If I had to make a living at it. Never happen.. I sell to low…

My dream is to have my own bookstore someday… I have seen what I want to do from several others I know of. It can be done.. I just need capital and a good head start… So its my dream… and a good one.

What’s it like to have a online business.. Its different than a business outside the home in many ways.. In my case I have had an online bookstore sense November 2005. I started out on eBay when the prices were allot less expensive to sell.. I started out with 200 books and its grown to online and off total of over 3000. I did hardly any sales the first year… 2nd year got better.. and so forth.. Last year as the economy got worse so did business.. I have always remained in the black.. I could not live on what I make.. Its more a hobby to keep me busy.. But I would not want to give it up for anything.. I was lucky enough to meet an author who sells his own books… So I took this over and offer “Waiting for Agnes’s” on three different markets.. eCRATER which sells for less, eBay sells for a little more, and Amazon that sell for the most…. The reasons being eCRATER does not charge for anything that they have.. You meaning Me have to do all the work of putting your info in about your item.. Where in my case I sell books eBay takes the IBSN # and finds all the info that book publishers would have on this book and brings it to your site including photo’s. Where on eCRATER I have to take photo’s and store them… I have to create every bit of info that I offer… This includes getting the info out about my store.. I have to self promote it…Twitter has been a big help… I was selling nothing but Waiting for Agnes for a while, now business is picking up… Amazon charges a huge fee to sell your item so I put this back by selling at a higher price…. eBay has out Fee’s themselves.. they charge when you put an item in and it is reentered every month.. luckily its automatic… but there is a fee… then when you sell there is a another fee. It you have a store there is a monthly fee… of over $10.00 . I was spending over $200.00 a month when at eBay so when I read a blog about someone selling on another site I asked them about it and they pointed out eCRATER. Thanks to that person I have saved a lot of money.. It has taken a while to pick up and its still slow but I see the light… Online store when you store things in your home, in my case my husband does not ask me to pay for my electricity or room … I think he chucks it up to I am happy and busy.. He also does not charge me for boxing up my items… He is getting where he is easy to talk to about something as he is keeping up with what my store is doing.. He likes to go to the post office with me and when I can’t go he goes and chats with the postal employee’s and comes home and tells me.. This blog has done me alot of good with selling as well as letting me get my thoughts out of my head…

I am still working on Romance this week … I don’t see a finished in sight. So next Monday I will just stop and go on to adventure, mystery for a change in passe and let those people see some new books… fantasy and paranormal people will just have to wait till I get some more books… They are all in… Historical Romance I have allot to put in but trying to do one side of my room at a time… At anytime if there is something you are looking for let me know and I will look though what I have and get it to you if I have it… We do not have a bookstore in my town.. I get my new books at signings or WalMart. The nearest new store to me is 30 miles away… People have tried but I think they just have not been in the right place with the right items… When I go to yard sales I find books that are like new.. so I know people are going to book stores… people are reading…

What really hurts is when people stick you with no payment… I did not think this was possible.. I did make a few mistakes in the beginning .. That is why I do not take checks anymore.. Well a couple of weeks ago I had someone buy one new books and pay on paypal. Then same person bought two of the same book on paypal.. This person payed for both orders right away so I got them ready and mailed the next day… 4 days later the persons bank put a hold on the one book payment which amounted to over 25.00 .Paypal sent me a notice that there was a hold on payment do not send item.. Now who waits 4 days to mail something when you have the payment and its good… After all this time and my sending info to prove that I mailed it I got a notice from Paypal that the case is closed I am out $25.00.. And I am really out as I have to pay the book author his share. I have sent a couple of emails to this person and have not gotten a reply… This does not happen often.. This is my first time…. I have made mistakes and had to fix them at my expense .. And I do right away.. I have a very good feedback on all my selling places… To help make extra money so I could go buy more books I started selling at my local flee market I did pretty good… But I was underselling the lady who was always there….(She has moved.. sense this email was written. I am back at Flee Market after a summer brake. Will be there as long as I can weather permitting.)

Me!!!!!!!! I got kicked off of two blogs yesterday………..Don’t know why I joined them in the first place, this one does everything they do on two pages. Front and Back…. Every where you look people and things are telling you to spread yourself out so people can see you…. Well after two weeks I have not seen a sale on my two stores www.readerwave.ecrater.com www.shotglassheaven.ecrater.com Yesterday we put in more books, and more shotglasses…. I think I have about three days of putting in shot glasses that were in my eBay store . Then I can open the next box…. Have no idea what is in it…. I have 20 or so books that Gene took pictures of to enter….. Then we go from there… I have a big box of brand new books to go throw… I bought off a bookstore in town that was closing….

Flee Market on Saturday I am going to try getting the same booth I had before…It had a place to put a table and I have a folding one… I have four more boxes of book that I want to bring…. with some authors people are looking for…. I may go yard saling tomorrow… I have a person waiting paciently for Sharon Sala I have some but not the ones she wants…And I have to get ahold of some people I buy books from as I found a picture in one of them…. People do not turn pages use a slip of paper if you have to…

I started emailing my customrs from Nov to now to tell them about my new store… see if that will spark a look or even have them look here and tell me what they would like to see… Tell your friends…. if they are looking for something I am willing to look for it… As you know my used books are no more than$ .98 or $.99 cents and some times lower… ones that are new or one owner(me) go for $3.00 to $4.50 How can you go wrong…. And remember those shipping and handling discounts…Buy one at full shipping price and the next one is $1.00 unless its a set then its $2.00 For every 4 books you buy you get a free one and you get to pick that one by emailing me at readerwave@bellsouth.net I have one book back on ebay that is “Waiting for Agnes, ” by author Joe Bullard…. I am still reading about Misltoe, Montana its a great book about three friends and three authors writting about each friend…. Today is the last day my dear friend will be here to visit me …It has been a great visit… Now my stepdaughter will be coming for next weekend.. That will be nice…

This week we will be working on our book sites… We will probley close the one Readerwave and open a new one to fix all the problems.. Gene has offered to help me… I hope he knows what he is getting into.. eCrater woes, sight seeing in the rain

Looks like I may be closing my eCrater store after entering over 300 items and opening a new one . Gene has offered to help me… WE just can not get them to understand that we just want the email address to change where it is seen above the picture of books at the sight… I don’t know what else to do.. Gene has even written a email to these people… don’t know where else to look… or go… So will probley start over. …………………………. We went sight seeing in the rain today…. went to a couple of stores and then went to lunch. Was not much fun as the weather made my legs hurt… so I did not go far… Did not make a good impression on my friend I am sure… Hopefully today will be better. Its not suppose to rain. I bought couple of books will put on eBay. My author has offered to let me sell for him exclusively… That is very nice… That will give me a lot of expos….I hope.Well back to bed its still early…. Pray for a better day for my friend and I…. no worries over ecrater….Thanks God for getting me though another day. I will try to be a better person.
