Little by little I have been taking them out and taking them to the flee market so this morning I just took all but one out. “Waiting for Agnes” by Florida Native Joe Bullard. Book is about the Coral Castle built in the 1950’s with huge coral boulders… Great book and a good seller for Joe and I. Does not seem possible..Went up to see mother and tried on all her Christmas gifts.. Have less to take back than I thought. She gave me all her Christmas letters to answer.. I don’t even answer my own. I have washing to do and it is getting taller by the min. Tomorrow want to go to the flee market and check on my store. Take some books that i was given over the holidays. Figure out a way to hang some things that I want to put in baggies.. Remember I still have an on line store and feature Joe Bullard’s “Waiting for Agnes” signed. The time is going so fast I have so much to do before I go away again. I have to work on stores and get Jan birthdays out. or ready to go out. I have been chilly all morning.. Could be because I did not get enough sleep.. I was playing with my Farm at Farm Town most of the night. I need some more players so I can hire people to plow.. and its fun… I get to contact a cousin I have not talked to in years..That should be fun. Glad to be back but sure glad we went. We miss all our children and grandchildren when we are away from each other. Can’t wait to go to VA in a couple of weeks to see some more grands. We have been putting away and cleaning this morning. I have all the Christmas wrap back in the closet. But its not so far back that I can’t use it to get started again. I have a drawer full of stuff already from after holiday shopping. Need to go to Mother today. She fell last night.. she has a goose egg on her elbow .. She has not told me yet. The place called to tell me this morning that she fell last night. She did not brake anything so they did not call us to wake us up…That was nice… I called Mom right away and she did not mention it at all.. I am wondering how my flee market store did while I was away. I hope it made even at least. Its been a hard start to get people inside. It has to change or Gene will nicely suggest that I move outside again. Does not seem possible that its the end of the year already. remember if you are looking for good used books or shot glasses my on line stores are great www.readerwave.com Trip CanceledDecember 21st, 2009Looks like our trip down South might be canceled it depends how we feel in the morning. Both hubby and I are sick. Colds have grabbed us by the throat and going for the juggler.. Feel terrible.. I so want to go.. Have not seen some of the grands sense Summer. School projects have kept them away and we have not been up to traveling.. Hubby is making a big effort to do this for me.. He wants to see kids too. We miss them so much. I am so glad we moved here except for that. I want to go so bad.. I worked really hard getting some of there presents made before we leave. Now we may not leave. I think I will go back to bed and rest till ………..I wake up feeling better. Tomorrow Tomorrow the sun will come out Tomorrow …. Last Shipping Day before ChristmasDecember 20th, 2009I am getting all these mailers and newspaper ads…Today and Tomorrow are the last days you can buy from my online store. Sunday night I am shutting down for the Christmas holidays. You won’t get Christmas delivery on books at this late date. Today is the last shopping day at my Flee Market store here in Lake City. I am inside out of the cold and wind.. Come in and look around I have lots of new stock going in today.I will be open next week. I will be away have helpers looking out for my store. You all have a great holiday and see you after Christmas… FridayDecember 18th, 2009We were gone this week we went to cold weather…colder than here. Now we are back to rainy weather.. Its the starting of the weekend please stop raining… I need to be dry tomorrow and Sunday for the flee market. Its bad enough we both brought back colds..Thanks AL we love you all but you could of kept the colds up there… LOL.. NO one had one there but it was cold and Mother had one here be might of caught and took with us.. Gene got it first and now I have a soar throat. We did bring home some good memories and a promise to keep up…It will be so much easier now that we are all on facebook.. I am working on my books today and going to the post office I carried the packages all the way to AL and back .. So will go to our post office. Dry and warmDecember 13th, 2009First day in new spot at flee market.. I think it went great.. Had a few customers even tho it rained all day.. I was nice and worm and dry inside had my heater going after my husband finished all the work he was going to do on the place… Today its already in the 60’s and its only 6Am… I want to put up some lights regular spot lights so can see better in the store and some holiday lights o it looks festive… will see how that works out… Remember if you want to come see us we are at the Lake City Flee Market inside close to the front door… Now if you want to find us on line go to www.readerwave.ecrater.com
Setting up todayDecember 11th, 2009I have been working all week on my boxes of books getting them sorted and ready for set up today. I have taken about four boxes of books out as they are older than I want to offer or they are copies of some I already have.. I don’t know what I am walking into so I also took some out that will make my load lighter.. I can always add later on. Remember I am moving my books inside the flee market and making a little store.. Be sure to tell everyone you know and bring a friend… I have an ad in the paper a customer called and she had seen it but did not know it was me. Ouch… Looking for someone to work the weekend after Christmas. I will be away. I hate to close down and loose money… and maybe customers. If you are interested let me know. I want to find a company that can sell me new books for a low price so I can offer them.. Also order them if I have an author coming for a signing. Oprah and EllenDecember 9th, 2009Oprah and Ellen I bought the O mag after my daughter called and said she was entering the contest for the 12 days of Christmas and we should both do it as we might win a trip to Chicago or Los Angles. That would be so cool.. I could not tell you how many times I have entered something and lost.. But its such a great thing to enter.. There is always a chance. And when you don’t enter you don’t win.. My daughter thought that we would get to be on Oprah for the holiday show and I was telling her that it said a show now which one.. Just to win a trip together would be great. Our husbands both know how to handle themselves alone. My son in law has 2 daughters to keep him in line and my husband can go see my Mother in her assisted living home… She’ll keep him straight! LOL… I have been working on my books for the flee market I am moving inside this week.. I guess its a good thing as its raining.. I wanted to have someone stand out side the building and hand out my business cards but I guess that is out of the question as its suppose to rain Saturday morning. Friday I go and set up.. That should be fun.. I have been going though my boxes and putting them in order so they are easier to put up. I only have a couple of hours to do this in.
