This is the time of year I miss being up north. We have changing of the leaves but nothing like my kids or sister get where they are. Saw pictures of Central Park down town New York City yesterday while watching The Early Show. But when they get the colder weather and all the snow I am glad to be here in North Florida where I am cold in two layers but don’t have to put on three or four … I can remember getting wrapped up to go sleding.. I could not move and had so much trouble with the sled, skates etc….

I started playing with making patterns to sew yesterday.. I think I made three sizes before I was happy… Now today I might get busy with cutting out.  Should be quite a feet if I can pull this off.. Been working on some of my books in garage with pricing them in preparation to go back to book store… I am keeping paperbacks at $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00, hard covers will be more,priced as marked.( Hard covers will also be 6 for must be the same or lesser value of what you have bought)  I will have children’s book sale and regular price so pricing those ran into a very nice selection . Children’s and Harlequin will be on sale tables every week now. I will have more room…. I will still take trade ins.. a book and .50 for a book.  Hard Cover books will be able to trade for another hard cover  and half of the price of the book.  So if you bring in a hard cover book and want a  hard cover book it will cost you 1 hard cover  and 1/2 the price of the book you want.  (example   $3.00 book will cost you one hard cover and $1.50

Yesterday was a busy and not so productive day.  Went to Walmart and took some things back. Bought some hooks for hanging up new sheets for my store. They did not have the ones we wanted so Hubby has gone to Home Depot this morning to get some and mulch to match what the neighbor put down last weekend.  I have started wash.  Went to find out where I have to sign up for retirement check from State and did not go to the right place.. Came home and went on line.  Decided I better get my birth certificate out and went to the place where I thought it was. Not there. So Hubby and I started a search .. Decided after an hour or more to order a new one. so went on line  Then they decided they needed more info and I had to call them.. Never got to them.. had me on hold for over and hour. Guess I will try again today.

While at Walmart of course I bought a book and I am reading Jodi Thomas I never find very many books by her. I have also been looking for large print books… I finally found some on eBay. But would love to find them locally.  We went to the flea market indoor and out up in Lake Park, Ga Sunday.  The outdoor had a book person who also sells plants. He lets people trade books for plants.  He charges $2.00 for most books and sets can be as High as $6.00… Boy am I cheap. No wonder my Ga customers come down here. The only things I am going to change some prices on are my hard cover table.. Going back to the prices they are marked. I will have a new children’s section of the $1.00 or more books found some really nice books while out. Hope to have a holiday section some times late November.  Working on getting items will depend on what I find.  I may put out some of the dolls depending on how much room I have.  Will have some more LeapPad items some from before and some newer. You will have to come see us Starting back November 13th. I am ready now but the fair has not come and gone yet.  Had a really good time this weekend.

Looks like hubby and I got up on the same side of the bed today… Wrong…….side that is.. He had trouble making breakfast this morning nothing wanted to go right. Have to say my eggs were great. I sent a email to the wrong person. Man I hate that as I have to write another to say what a stupid person I was.(not those words). But that is what it meant.

I have decided that i am not going to be selling Joe Bullards new book. But if you have trouble finding it I will direct you to it.. I will be selling Waiting for Agnes till I run out of books which will be soon so get your copy now. I don’t know how many copies author still has on hand. We have had a long run together and I am grateful to Joe Bullard and his wife for helping me with this and giving me a chance to do them and me a service.I know my grammar is wrong here but this is why he is the writer and I am the seller.  He tells me that he has a great new website going up so be looking for it. He will have his new  book Bolita Sam  on sale in the next couple of weeks.

As for my book store  I will be opening back up the weekend of November 13th.   I will have a bigger spot and lots more books… I am sure I will not be all set up when you come in the first weekend. I will do my best. There is only me to get this put together. I have the curtains washed and a new one added to it so they are ready.. My new chair is ready as I sold the other one … It looks the same as I had two of them. All my book cases now have backs so no books going down the back of  wall .  I will have more tables so the two sales that were every other week will be every week.. I hope you will tell your friends about us… I am taking a gamble by making it bigger. I hope this works out for us.. you and me.  If  not I will bring it back down to what it was. I want to thank all my steady customers.. Its great meeting everyone.. And I can’t wait to see you all next month. I am going to try using my sewing machine this month. Wish me luck… I wrote this a little while ago.. sence then I have cut out some things I want to make and will see how that goes tomorrow… I need to be fresh to start..LOL.. that is my excuse what is yours…

I have very mixed feelings this morning.. I have not sold one Waiting for Agnes by local author Joe Bullard in over a month… I have been selling this book for two years.. I am wondering if its run its course.. I took it off Ebay yesterday and going to take it off Amazon today. It will only be at www.readerwave.ecrater.com .   And I am not sure how long I will leave it there. I have 14 books right now and no plans to get more. Author will be or may have already gone to see family. I do not contact him unless I need books.

On a happier note. Daughter Ilene Jones had a write up in Newsweek last week… Magazine date is September 20th. page 48. I am so proud of her. She has come a long way with no college.. Just soaks up what ever she learns in her life’s work.. Yesterday was her first day of working on her own. No other day job. This is wonderful.. If you have an iPod look for “Hurricane or Traveler’s Quest”.  Hurricane has sold over 60,000 copys… Lets bring it up to 100,000  Let me know if you read it would love to hear.  Last week would of been my Mothers 89 th birthday… and the next day was our granddaughters 12th birthday.. So we got cheered up in a hurry..I have allot of things I want to do today.. The least favorite is pay taxes on my store… But will get it done and then I will be free and clear of bills till next month.. Looking forward to going shopping on weekends after Flea Market closes for the fair to come in.

Good Morning Happy Tuesday… Does not seem possible that its September already.. I need to wrap a couple of birthday gifts and get them in the mail.  Have a few errands to run today.. Want to look for some children’s books this week.. I am down to one basket and that is not enough for a whole weekend.. And I have had theses for months so must get some fresh things for these children and parents to look at.. And one little girl has asked me for Barney so will see what I can find. I finished reading Debbie Macombers newest Cedar Cove Book “1022 Evergreen Place”  Great I think I liked it better than the last one. One part of the story I was afraid  it would be the next book and I wanted it to finish in this one well it did.. I was so glad.. It was a really unexpected ending.. Thanks Debbie for another really great book.. You can find info about Debbie Macomber at www.debbiemacomber.com she even has a blog.  Yesterday was not a good day in the morning.. I was doing wash and I guess the load was uneven  have not had that happen before in our new washer anyways the Clorox bottle was on top and it worked its way to the edge and it fell over and landed on the floor, the top was not on as tight as I thought and all of it went on the floor it was fine as there were no clothes on floor near it.. I move the waste basket out of my way and to get it out of wet.. I put it next to some clothes and my favorite T shirt is not tie dyed… I am so upset… its was several shades of color already and I guess I can wear it around the house.  So that was my morning… In the afternoon I just relaxed and chilled.. I talked to daughter about son in law and how he’s feeling and granddaughter and school.. She had her first game this past weekend.. She is in marching band this year.
