 I am so sad.. I had planned all these things to do in my head… Small town got in the way again.. LOL. Our Bargin store is closed on Mondays, I think the Post Office and Banks are closed today. Where I get my hair cut is closed on Mondays..and that also means more Copys of Waiting for Agnes will have to wait till tomorrow as its Monday day off…
Book Store at Flee Market went very well I had lots of new customers and lots of repeats with trades.. And this reminds me I need to make a new sign for the new books.. People are trying to use them with trades and thats a no no… Or i just might take a loss and put them in with the other books and use that book case for other things i need that will end up bringing me more money as I am sitting on the new ones.. Have not sold one… I am in the thinking stage of this one. Feed back would be nice..

What a year this has started out to be. January brought the death of my Mother. February just a month later my birthday and I was sick as a dog all week… And its just the second week of the month. We are on the East Coast luckily we are not up north.. we have no snow.. But we are in Florida and my yard looks like Lake West as we call it every spring. It has rained steady sense midnight last night. Of course as I mentioned I have been sick all week and its suppose to be very cold this weekend so my flee market store will be closed. I can’t take the chance of getting sicker. I made the grocery list and hubby went to grocery store. I did get the clothes out of dryer from Monday and put a new load of wash in washer and they made it to the dryer today and now are ready to come out. The one good thing about all this sickness I have lost 7 or 8 lbs… But the terrible thing is I got sick before we got to South Florida to have birthday celebration with grandson. I am so sorry GW… we love you very much. I did finish a book I started several weeks ago… I have been thinking about working on Mothers doll collection.. I need to find out what it or they are worth and what I want to do about it. I took one of her chairs to the flee market sense my booth is inside I can have it there.. and be more comfortable. I have decided to keep her thimble collection I did send one to a friend of Mothers who asked for one. It had her name on it.. It came that way.. I know as I bought for her. I am missing working as I had Friday all worked out in my head.. Now I have to wait for next Friday and hope the weather is better…Thanks everyone for all the kindness you have shown us in the past month..

Well today is the last day of 2009. Does not seem possible..Went up to see mother and tried on all her Christmas gifts.. Have less to take back than I thought. She gave me all her Christmas letters to answer.. I don’t even answer my own.
I have washing to do and it is getting taller by the min.
Tomorrow want to go to the flee market and check on my store. Take some books that i was given over the holidays. Figure out a way to hang some things that I want to put in baggies..

We were gone this week we went to cold weather…colder than here. Now we are back to rainy weather.. Its the starting of the weekend please stop raining… I need to be dry tomorrow and Sunday for the flee market. Its bad enough we both brought back colds..Thanks AL we love you all but you could of kept the colds up there… LOL.. NO one had one there but it was cold and Mother had one here be might of caught and took with us.. Gene got it first and now I have a soar throat. We did bring home some good memories and a promise to keep up…It will be so much easier now that we are all on facebook..
I am working on my books today and going to the post office I carried the packages all the way to AL and back .. So will go to our post office. The Book Lady
Moving inside the building at the Flee Market in Lake City. I have been outside in the weather and would like to move out of the winter wind.. I can have more books this way with shelves that stay there at all times.. Be better on my back. Will be there starting this Saturday at 7 am come visit me.. I will have surprises and sales… Remember that I sell my books for $1.00 or trade one book and .50 no more trade two and no money. I must make my rent payment to keep me there.. If you are looking for a certain author let me know. I will try to help you out with that.

Don’t know what to do…I have a chance to get in out of the weather and to leave my stock at the place and not have to move it…For those of you who might not have read me before I am talking about books. This is so sad today’s weather is 36 and very clear and sunny out. Why could it not be yesterday. Sundays we do not sell much.. most of the people go to church. If I move into the building I want to spend a little extra money and place an ad in the paper saying that’s where I am.. So if you read this try helping me with an ad for the the yard sale part of the newspaper… I want to put it in that section as most of the people who I have given business cards to have been at yard sales.. They are calling me The Book Lady the other book lady has moved to another location. If I move inside I would have to be there Saturdays and Sundays… I would get one of the peoples kids to cover for me on weekends I might go away. I wish my grands lived closer.. I could get one of them to work with me. Maybe during the summer.. Well that is all I can think to write about today..Its the only thing on my mind to take care of this week.. Will let you know how that turns out.. I might just wait till after I come back in January from visiting our daughter.. My husband is not going maybe he will work it for me.. Time will tell….

Blogs what are they for… In my case to let off steam, to tell you about my bookstore on line and at the flee market… To talk things over with myself as no one hardly ever reads my blogs so I know I am boring.. That’s OK.. I have bad grammer and spelling… But that’s OK too.. I am the one who reads me… If I am having a problem with my thoughts its good to let them get out. Like my book store would love to have a real one..But I can see that it would be a bust in my town. I am barely making it at the flee market how would I do it at a real store 6 days a week… I don’t have the extra cash laying around to take on something like that. I don’t know how to handle the finances… I do it the easiest I can with my online store and flee market.. I only buy what I can afford.. I am always in the black…have one person I ever owe money too…
My dalima(sp) now is weather I should go inside at the flee market or stay outside. Inside I would be able to leave my books there at all times.. It would cost me more but I could have more stock. I would need to be there every weekend or have someone cover for me. If you read this leave me some feedback.. I would not even know what to pay the person.. My thought was what ever profit was made up to $4o.oo and anything over that is mine. I need an honest person… someone I can trust.. its not like I have a cash register to keep track of inventory…

Books and more books, bought more books.. Hoping my customers at the flee market will find some they are looking for… I so enjoy going there… I meet such nice people and you see some of the same faces every week… I bought more Nora Roberts, and Debbie Macomber. There must be something there that you are looking for… come out and see me.. This week I will have a special check it out… Don’t forget to bring those trades No Harlequin please… I am going looking for a table so that I will have five tables and can put out the rest of the books I have in storage. Good morning…..My wonderful Blog….. you never talk back and give me grief….Its so nice to be back to you again… I have been busy getting things in order for Mother… I have started and almost finished Christmas projects.. I have gone to yard sales and added a lot of books to my flee market collection.. I have brought a new box of shotglasses in the house.. Opened it and its states… As I write this my hubby is at Home Depot looking for some shelves for his garage… So I can have one of my shot glass shelves back to use… At one time I had 1300 shot glasses on shelves in my dining room of our Condo … Now that we have a home and its bigger I never put them back up.. I have one in my book room and now I am going to put one in the sitting room…divide 1300 by 4 and that’s how many glasses I will be able to put in my www.shotglassheaven.ecrater.com store…
I need to work hard next week on my www.readerwave.ecrater.com store I have been lacking the drive to work on either one… It shows I have not had many orders… I promise to not let the holidays get in the way…. Holiday gift giving… can be very stressful…. Reading is a great hobby and if someone doesn’t read, you never know you might get them to with a great book.. or magazine. I like this time of year as all the new holiday books come out… I read Christmas stories all year long.. Brings my spirits up and I just love reading about Christmas and different way authors bring you in to celebrate. Most authors write a holiday book… Then I pick and choose what and when I will read it…I am always finding a Harlequin that I have not read or think I haven’t and I reread it some times… Debbie Macomber is one of my favorite authors and she writes about Christmas Angels… Shirley, Goodness and Mercy…They are sent from Heaven to Earth to help people find what they are looking for.. Forgiveness, love, all kinds of things… Her Cedar Cove series had a holiday book last year, “A Cedar Cove Christmas” I have it at my on line store with the series of Cedar Cove 11 books new and used for$48.00 I have read several Sherryl Woods holiday books… James Patterson wrote one a year or so ago… It was great…
Holidays are the best time of the year if we could remember to act like we do over the holidays all year long it would be a great thing….
Holiday movies my favorite is with Tom Hanks and the Train… One coming up December 5 on Hallmark channel is Mrs. Miracle with Doris Roberts… This was a book written by yes my favorite author Debbie Macomber.
Find a good book, good chair and read.
