We Will See

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Don’t know what to do…I have a chance to get in out of the weather and to leave my stock at the place and not have to move it…For those of you who might not have read me before I am talking about books.  This is so sad today’s weather is 36 and very clear and sunny out. Why could it not be yesterday. Sundays we do not sell much.. most of the people go to church.   If I move into the building I want to spend a little extra money and place an ad in the paper saying that’s where I am..  So if you read this try helping me with an ad for the the yard sale part of the newspaper… I want to put it in that section as most of the people who I have given business  cards to have been at yard sales.. They are calling me The Book Lady the other book lady has moved to another location.  If I move inside I would have to be there Saturdays and Sundays… I would get one of the peoples kids to cover for me on weekends I might go away.  I wish my grands lived closer.. I could get one of them to work with me.  Maybe during the summer..  Well that is all I can think to write about today..Its the only thing on my mind to take care of this week.. Will let you know how that turns out.. I might just wait till after I come back in January from visiting our daughter.. My husband is not going maybe he will work it for me.. Time will tell….

In case you are not local to me and are looking for something good to read if you don’t find it on my online bookstore at www.readerwave.ecrater.com send me a note at readerwave@bellsouth.netI might have it in over stock that is waiting to go to flee market or put on line  here.. Tell me your favoriteauthors.. If you don’t tell me I will just keep thinking everyone likes the authors I do…  Remember I do have some new and some used… Some signed and some autographed.  New is Waiting for Agnes and its signed by local North Florida author Joe Bullard.  I can sell you as many copies as you would like… at $19.99 plus shipping…

Ok Weather!

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Ok I get the picture, you do not want me working the flee market on the weekends.  I like it and the people are fun to talk to. So why are you doing this to me.. Its nice all week and then boom… Rain all weekend. This only makes me want a store front of my own more.. This working the flee market was to take the store front idea away.

You know how the saying goes all’s I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.. I gave up on that idea a long time ago… All’s I want for Christmas is my Store Front.  I go to the Flee Market as I have no start up money for my store front.. And in this town book stores do no do such a great business. But everyone loves to read go figure…

I have the ideal spot picked out but would need at least three other small time business to go in with me.. Can’t you see books, nicknacks, crafts, all these things together in one place… it would draw people in for one thing or another… Now someone grab my idea and run and make your own dare ya.. Just make sure its in my town…

Now if you want to look at my online store check out www.readerwave.ecrater.com

Blog Today

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Blogs what are they for… In my case to let off steam, to tell you about my bookstore on line and at the flee market… To talk things over with myself as no one hardly ever reads my blogs so I know I am boring.. That’s OK.. I have bad grammer and spelling… But that’s OK too.. I am the one who reads me… If I am having a problem with my thoughts its good to let them get out.  Like my book store  would love to have a real one..But I can see that it would be a bust in my town. I am barely making it at the flee market how would I do it at a real store 6 days a week… I don’t have the extra cash laying around to take on something like that. I don’t know how to handle the finances… I do it the easiest I can with my online store and flee market.. I only buy what I can afford.. I am always in the black…have one person I ever owe money too…

My dalima(sp) now is weather I should go inside at the flee market or stay outside. Inside I would be able to leave my books there at all times.. It would cost me more but I could have more stock.  I would need to be there every weekend or have someone cover for me. If you read this leave me some feedback.. I would not even know what to pay the person.. My thought was what ever profit was made up to $4o.oo and anything over that is mine. I need an honest person… someone I can trust.. its not like I have a cash register to keep track of inventory…

Looking for great reading go online at www.readerwave.ecrater.com  where we take PayPal or money orders… www.readerwave.com  or www.ebay.com where we only take PayPal

We are at the Lake City Flee Market Saturdays…

Books What to do

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I am in a delima…I don’t know what I want to do about my flee market store..I want to move it inside for several reasons..The weather is a big factor. I could leave it up all the time. But then I would need someone to watch it all the time. I don’t make enough money yet to hire someone. I need to get the word out that I am there. I guess I need to spend some money to make some money. This is the holiday season and its been miserable on the weekends that makes it rough for the flee market sales. I did not make a profit last Sunday.. I cleared my money but that was all..  I wish I could afford a store out side where I could be open 6 days a week.. That would be great. maybe I could get some business.  This is my wish has been for a very long time.. My dream.  Books are my passion. I love to see people pick up a book. and when they are at one of my stores either on line or at the flee market its even better.
