What Day is it where you are at?

Worked very hard to make gifts for some of the grandchildren who live in snow or are going to show over the holidays.. Yesterday I went to the flee market here and it started out in the high 30′s and I used one of  hubbys pea caps..So when I came home I started making one of my own.. But I could not get it done in time to wear today.. About half done will be done for next week..  I was trying to make a apron with holiday fabric but have decided a full apron will not fit over my coat and maybe a carpenter apron will real long ties  would be better… So I will work on that this week…   I don’t have my sewing machine anymore so have to cut and go stitch at my sister in laws house…  Which will be fine I love going over and visiting with her..

I always run out of Westerns… I found some last night going though my books on line.. I had forgotten that I had them.. So I took them off  line and taking them to the flee market today. 

My online book business is picking up.. Things are looking up. I would like to thank God for getting this store back on track.. I know you have a lot harder things to do… Thanks for looking our way..

Black Friday is HERE!

I am going out….To the post office and the grocery store….. LOL… I have gone to those sales not worth it for me at my age… My children can do that.  I shop all year long… and I have been saying for weeks I am almost done.. Right then something or someone else comes to my list..  I think I am almost done.. I only added 4 people to my list yesterday.. I think my hubby is making their gifts..  I am mailing off my long distance gifts today when I send off my book orders. 

Remember what the season means and be thankful to have health and happiness Remember to be kind to thy neighbor. Never know who’s Mother or Father they can be.. Remember to be on Santa’s good list.. Remember to drink plenty of eggnog and eat plenty of fruit cake as they are the season Oh and pumpkin pie.. And if you can find a homemade cherry pie pray that we get one at Christmas time… forgot to sample it yesterday.. and it was home made by our daughter in law.. I was good I had no desert till be got home for our 9pm  ice cream treat.

Back to today.. Be safe, look out for others and call me when you get home.  LOL….

This morning, Day before Thanksgiving

Well so far I have had someone who wants to rent my house..Told them they did not have the right number my house was not for rent.. But that’s the number on the sign.. Tried to tell them one of the numbers should be a O not mine… Finally… I have been thought this several times… Then my Mother called to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving… Thanked her and told her it was the day before… Then while I have you on the phone she went though a list of things she wants brought to her… and she gave me a list yesterday.  I was expecting this … 

I have gotten some applesauce I made and froze out of the freezer to see if it holds up when frozen…

I have had two orders over night for three books this is good… I hope it keeps up… I need so sell some books to pay my author I sell for … Its been a while  and I have not had a sale… maybe with the holidays coming it will pick up…

Books and more books, bought more books.. Hoping my customers at the flee market will find some they are looking for… I so enjoy going there… I meet such nice people and you see some of the same faces every week… I bought more Nora Roberts, and Debbie Macomber. There must be something there that you are looking for… come out and see me.. Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving vacation is here for so many children.  They are looking forward to playing with family and friends.  Should be lots of fun.  

Have been busy this week made and sent off Christmas/change of address cards for Mother with picture so everyone could see how good she looks in her new place.  I have started our holiday letter to be mailed after This weekend.. I like to get done early…Holiday shopping is almost done need to make one more trip to Gainsville.. I did find the cami’s I was looking for Mother.  Took the last two at Penny’s I might get two more when I go to Gainsville that way she can have one for every day.. Have a couple of kid things to get and I will be done… Gene and I are getting each other a car… oh ya we did that .. So there is nothing else we need… from each other. I drove our my car to the flee market this weekend it was so nice.. I do not have to unpack the car.. I want to work on the front seat as that is where I have the odd books or more books to go with me..I did quite well I was pleasanly surprised.. When we go to Gainsville I am going to look for some books customers asked me about.. Good Morning Blogets…

I don’t think that is a word Blogets  but I like it… so maybe I can be a new Rachel Ray and make up my own word… LOL….

Went to Flee Market yesterday and did quite well.. Going again today to see how I do on Sundays.. Its the holiday season and maybe people are looking for things to read… I know I need a break once in a while… I am taking my crocheting to see if that will give me something to do other than stare at people… That is fun to but I need to multi task this season to get things done….Bought some books yesterday and they went and told someone and they came for me to buy from them and I had to say no as I had spent my extra money….

I did sell something in my on line  store on Friday. Mailed it yesterday or hubby did…. I got a box of shot glasses out and started unwrapping them so I can take pictures and list them… That’s as far as that got will do more this week.. Tonight or tomorrow I am going to finish cutting out my apron so I can sew it to wear to flee market after Thanksgiving…

Well have to get some breakfast and put the feet up before i go…. Have a great day…

I’m Back………..I Know Was I Gone…..

Good morning…..My wonderful Blog….. you never talk back and give me grief….Its so nice to be back to you again… I have been busy getting things in order for Mother… I have started and almost finished Christmas projects.. I have gone to yard sales and added a lot of books to my flee market collection.. I have brought a new box of shotglasses in the house.. Opened it and its states…   As I write this my hubby is at Home Depot looking for some shelves for his garage… So I can have one of my shot glass shelves back to use… At one time I had 1300 shot glasses on shelves in my dining room of our Condo … Now that we have  a home and its bigger I never put them back up.. I have one in my book room and now I am going to put one in the sitting room…divide 1300 by 4 and that’s how many glasses I will be able to put in my www.shotglassheaven.ecrater.com  store… 

I need to work hard next week on my www.readerwave.ecrater.com store I have been lacking the drive to work on either one… It shows I have not had many orders… I promise to not let the holidays get in the way…. Holiday Reading

Holiday gift giving… can be very stressful…. Reading is a great hobby and if someone doesn’t read, you never know you might get them to with a great book.. or magazine. I like this time of year as all the new holiday books come out… I read Christmas stories all year long.. Brings my spirits up and I just love reading about Christmas and different way authors bring you in to celebrate. Most authors write a holiday book… Then I pick and choose what and when I will read it…I am always finding a Harlequin that I have not read or think I haven’t and I reread it some times… Debbie Macomber is one of my favorite authors and she writes about Christmas Angels… Shirley, Goodness and Mercy…They are sent from Heaven to Earth to help people find what they are looking for.. Forgiveness, love, all kinds of things… Her Cedar Cove series had a holiday book last year, “A Cedar Cove Christmas”  I have it at my on line store with the series of Cedar Cove 11 books new and used for$48.00  I have read several Sherryl Woods holiday books… James Patterson wrote one a year or so ago… It was great…

Holidays are the best time of the year if we could remember to act like we do over the holidays all year long it would be a great thing….

Holiday movies my favorite is with Tom Hanks and the Train… One coming up December 5 on Hallmark channel is Mrs. Miracle with Doris Roberts… This was a book written by yes my favorite author Debbie Macomber.

Find a good book, good chair and read.

New Beginnings…….

Good morning, morning…. We are up listening to Taylor Swift on the CD player…getting ready for the day… First on the list is getting back in the groove of writting a blog… Here Goes…………………………

Books are my hobby and love but I can see this year I need to find a way to make them better than they ever were… I got a new car and it needs to be paid for.. Mother has been moved to assisted living so she does not help with our income anymore..

Books and shotglass stores are what I have on eCRATER at www.readerwave.ecrater.com and www.shotglassheaven.ecrater.com   My husband is going to put another shot glass shelf up for me… Thats 18 rows to put another box out… that will take a while for me to put them out… Taking pictures and listing…      I hope to have them done before Thanksgiving if not then before December… I need to learn how to take better pictures… They are ok but not wonderful…    Need to put more books in and get it out there that I have books for you to read… I will have more talking books also..  Some of the great books you have all read in the past.. Now you can take them in the car or like Mother listen to at home.

I have Waiting for Agnes by Florida Native Joe Bullard… Has been a great seller.. I offer it on eBay and eCRATER… will ship to lots of places check it out…. We have the complete series or Cedar Cove  all 11 books… some are new, some are used, some are soft cover, some are hard.  Have several authors by series… If you are looking for something special let me know … I have over 2000 other books…

I Could Write……..

I should be writing about books.. I should be writing about how my book store is doing and how wonderful it all is… I should be… I can’t, because its not… I have not had a sale in weeks .. Most of it is my fault.  I have not put in any extra work into it… I can write how I have gone to yard sales and how I have bought books from customers that I have met sense living here in Lake City.. I can write that I have not written anything interesting in my blog for weeks.. I can write how no one is reading my blog.. I can write about how its hard for me to think of things to write about. I can write how I wish I could figure out how to fix all this… I can write how I wish I had a real bookstore in the real world.. I could write about how I don’t know the first thing about keeping money flowing in my book account.. I could write about all the big idea’s I have for a store.. I could write about not having the finances to have a store and with out that I can’t have one.. I will not borrow money from any thing or anyone.. I could write about all the great idea’s I have for running this store..  I could write about how I don’t read enough different kinds of authors so that I can help my customers.. I could write about how I wish I had the money, knowledge and the place to open this store… I could write about the wonderful husband who backs me in every fool thing I do… He is very surprised I have gotten as far as I have with this on line store…I could write how the past two years have been really fun with my store. I could write about all the work and fun I have had… I could write about all the books I have given to my local library, hospital, CARC, etc… I could write about how I believe in giving back. I could write about how I am thinking about donating books to my Mothers new home at the assisted living . I could write about how new we are there I don’t know what they have in a library. I could write how I entend to find out soon… I could write about how I am getting tired of writing I could write… LOL..  I could write about how we are having company this weekend and I will be off the computer for a few days… I could write how you can find great books new, used, autographed, and signed at www.readerwave.ecrater.com   I could write that this is the end of today’s blog…
