Believe!

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Believe! This one word means a lot to me… Believe in God  I loose sight of this once in awhile… I don’t stop believing. I stop thanking God for all my blessing.. I stop remembering who gave me what to remember and why.I know underneath I just put it away in a drawer so to speak.

,Believe in self,I loose myself allot… Last year in guidepost I found an article that told me to write down three things  and read it every day.I sometimes forget to read it even though it stares me in the face.1. Every day is better than the last 2. I will work on myself 3. Things will be better one day So easy to say and right beside my computer…

Believe in what you do.  I try to believe every day when I think I work so hard and no one even looks at my work or I can’t get what I want to work.. When I get help and it still does not do what I think I want it to..

Believe that today will be better than yesterday. Believe my online store and blog will do good today. Believe that someone will show me the way.Believe that I can find the way on my own. Just Believe anything is possible.  Believe that the grass is not greener on the other side

What do you believe?????????????

What do you Believe

Why?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Why have so many people found my blog and store this week. When no one looked at it in the past weeks.. Why has no one bought a book at the really low prices that I offer… Not even a question has been asked…Why am I up so late or early worrying about it… Why do I like this word Why?Why is a word that never gets answered on my blogs as no one ever stays long enough to make a comment..(excluding the few who have).  Maybe everyone came by to see my redecorating… LOL… I know why I write this blog… 1. my daughter made it for me to see if it would help bring people to my bookstore  http://tinyurl.com/olyuny  2. I wanted to write about my books that I read and bring people to my stores  http://tinyurl.com/olyuny or http://tinyurl.com/mud5bo

What ever the Why is I hope it keeps up…Thanks for stopping by and come again with a friend in tow…

shotglassheaven

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Whats that you say… Well its one of my names on Twitter,Its one of the names on my email, and its the name of one of my online stores.

Shot Glass Heaven   catchy name don’t you think?  I own over 1300 shot glasses that I have collected over the last 30 some years… Started as a hobby because of the size of the glass and the price. It was small and low. at the time… Sense then they have come in all kinds of shapes and prices..

When we moved to our new home here in LC a few years ago.. I decided I did not want my shelves up so there was no room for the glasses to be displayed so 13 boxes have been in the garage ever sense… I gave some to my granddaughter with a small shelf I had. I have sold some.. a couple got broke in moving.. I sold some on eBay last year..

When I opened my bookstore this year on eCRATER decided to open a shot glass store also…. This is where the name shotglassheaven comes in.

These are already listed in store

Running Scared

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Great book by Cheryl Norman. Loved every min of it…

Although newly divorced Ashley Adams thiks her ex-husband is trying to kill her, she’s not Running Scared.  Months of therapy and dertermination have strengthened her resolve to stop being a victim, while months of dedicated training have prepared her to run her first marathon.

Homicide detective Rick Edwards is coping with the deaths of his wife and daughter the only way he knows how-by focusing on his work.  He is hoping to solve the murder Ashley withnessed during a training run, but first he must win her trust.  And keep her alive.

But it doesn’t take Rick long to realize Ashley Adams is hardly a damsel in distress.  In fact, she may be the one woman who can save HIM.  He has found danger-has he also found love? – in the most unexpected of places.

Great reading from start to finish… You will find this book on my wedbsite. http://tinyurl.com/olyuny  tomorrow read more about Cheryl Norman at her website  www.cherylnorman.com

It even rained while we were there.. This place is beside the Florida Museum of Natural History… So worth seeing.. You go though this door and wait for it to close then go through another door and there are fans going blowing air out so the butterfly’s don’t come in…They are everywhere and every kind you can think of… They fly with out fright and they land on you I had one on my hand.. it was so cute and and another man had one on his shoulder…The plants are beautiful. Husband came home wishing we had space to make one… You can’t describe how beautiful it was you have to go there…And we will be taking all our visitors there for sure….

I have a book in both these stores and I also have it in eCrater… You can see the difference in pricing… Check out “Waiting for Agnes by Joe Bullard.. its a new personally autographed book about the Coral Castle in Homestead,Fl. Dudley Farm Historic State Park

Store where they sell homemade rag rugs, jams and jellys quilts etc

Store where they sell homemade rag rugs, jams and jellys quilts etc

We just found this place.. And its in our back yard so to speak. The browser says (A one of a kind authentic 19th century working farm) the real Florida..  It was so much fun.. when we got there the ladies were in the flower garden.  They had a peach tree that they were harvesting the peaches to can..The flowers were just beautiful

It says..The Dudley landscape is typical of the early Florida Farm with gardens, grape arbors, pecan and fruit trees, pastures, pinewoods, and croplands of peanuts, field peas, Sweet potatoes, and sugar cane.  It is a native habitat for animals such as deer, wild turkey, gopher, tortoises, bats and bluebirds.

In the mid 1800′s Dudley Farm consisted of rolling land covered with longleaf pine and wiregrass.  The longleaf pines provided material for all the Dudley buildings, fence posts, and split rail fences

Ponds, sinkholes, and an extensive network of cave passages permeate the area.  The rich organic soil with a clay and limestone substructure, coupled with the Florida climate, create an area well suited for agricultural use.(the last three paragraphs I copied form the liture they gave us while there.. It has a map and directions of the area…)
