Today was a good day.. We went yard sale ingfor the first time this year. It was still cold but not to bad.. Hit two yard sales and found nothing. Then we got to the church not far from our house. Wow I came away with 8 or 9 boxes of paperbacks. Found lots of great books to put away and to put out. This week I went to a home of a local resident who came to see me at the flee market. I bought lots of books and we both came out of this happy campers.. I am going to have Harlequins and the like on a special sale this weekend… Check out my card table.. I took and filled in and up the Historical Romance section. A couple of authors people love I got several of there books that I did not have.. I am so excited to go tomorrow.. I took alotof the hard cover off the table in front and put others up to show something different. Check it out. If you are looking for Danielle Steel I think i have everyone maybe not out where you can see them but i have boxes of them under somewhere… LOL.. I hope that I sell lots of books this weekend so I can go and get more from this person I met this week.. He is so over loaded with books in his home.

Book Store at Flee Market went very well I had lots of new customers and lots of repeats with trades.. And this reminds me I need to make a new sign for the new books.. People are trying to use them with trades and thats a no no… Or i just might take a loss and put them in with the other books and use that book case for other things i need that will end up bringing me more money as I am sitting on the new ones.. Have not sold one… I am in the thinking stage of this one. Feed back would be nice.. Used Book StoreFebruary 20th, 2010 Book Store from front left to back right Another Saturday morning getting ready to go to Flee Market to my Used Book Store.. I love it there.. Meet so many interesting people. Sorry to those who came last week and I was not there.. I was so sick during that week with the flu did not want to get out in the cold weather and risk getting sick again.. My Flee neighbor told me many of my people were there even tried going inside.. When the closed sign is there that should tell you I am not there.. When my store is open I am there unless I have to take a quick walk.. in that case someone always knows where I am.. Yesterday I was cleaning, and rearranging some things that needed work.. Still have plenty to do.. Hubby put a better top on one shelf so we are not pushing books off the other side while looking. My biggest problem right now is my romance section.. Several authors I have boxes and boxes of there books and others i have none. Need to get a handle on that… Going to put some stuff for sale other than books from time to time cleaning out my house. Thanks to all the people who have been bringing me books.. I mostly trade for other books.. I do buy a few outright from time to time.. Right now we are looking for Christian Romance and Westerns… We pay .50 each for them They must be in decent shape and no dropping ..Yellowing is allowed. Rainy Day MondayFebruary 15th, 2010Today is a yucky day rain and very little sunshine. I was going to clean out my car today.. guess that will wait for another day. We did get to Wal Mart this morning and I got a few things we needed. I need to find a company that well sell me new books a few at a time.. as i am not very big yet. I have looked around and not sure what i am looking at… New selling is very new to me.. Never done it before .. Also I need to find a way to sell off the dolls we have over 40 porcelain. Some have boxes some do not some are very old and some are not. Then i have stuffed animals…I am trying to make some money to pay for the new head stone that i am going to order soon.I want the money to come from things that my Mother and Father owned not from my husband and my money. Short and sweet today. February 2010February 12th, 2010What a year this has started out to be. January brought the death of my Mother. February just a month later my birthday and I was sick as a dog all week… And its just the second week of the month. We are on the East Coast luckily we are not up north.. we have no snow.. But we are in Florida and my yard looks like Lake West as we call it every spring. It has rained steady sense midnight last night. Of course as I mentioned I have been sick all week and its suppose to be very cold this weekend so my flee market store will be closed. I can’t take the chance of getting sicker. I made the grocery list and hubby went to grocery store. I did get the clothes out of dryer from Monday and put a new load of wash in washer and they made it to the dryer today and now are ready to come out. The one good thing about all this sickness I have lost 7 or 8 lbs… But the terrible thing is I got sick before we got to South Florida to have birthday celebration with grandson. I am so sorry GW… we love you very much. I did finish a book I started several weeks ago… I have been thinking about working on Mothers doll collection.. I need to find out what it or they are worth and what I want to do about it. I took one of her chairs to the flee market sense my booth is inside I can have it there.. and be more comfortable. I have decided to keep her thimble collection I did send one to a friend of Mothers who asked for one. It had her name on it.. It came that way.. I know as I bought for her. I am missing working as I had Friday all worked out in my head.. Now I have to wait for next Friday and hope the weather is better…Thanks everyone for all the kindness you have shown us in the past month.. My friend has her’s in the shop and has me watching her farm…What fun for me as I get to keep up with her farm and mine… My birthday is tomorrow and today I am going to my daughters to celebrate her birthday witch is Wednesday and mine. Then tomorrow going to Grandson’s house and celebrate mine and his witch are both tomorrow… how lucky am I … My flee market addition was a great success when it opened yesterday… I hope today goes as well… Remodeled Book StoreFebruary 1st, 2010Been a long time sense I wrote here.. I have been so busy. Working to get my book store at the Lake City Flee Market working in spite of the weather. This weekend is the grand opening after we have started remodeling. I am so proud of it.. Hubby has been working very hard. I have too. Stocking book cases full of wonderful books..I now have 5 book cases along the back wall.. one old case that was there all this time will be moved to go in the middle from right to left.. and a table will be at the very front for all the hard cover or big books.. Two tables on each end going front to back with boxes… We will have romance, historical romance, mystery, suspense, western, children’s, some true crime and some biographies.. Cd’s and DVDs of some authors books. We will sell most books for $1.00 hard covers will sell for $1.00 or more. I have some harlequins that I will have as a grand opening sale.. Our $1.00 paperbacks will sell also 6 for $5.00 or $.50 and one book trade for one of our paperbacks. Will take some pictures this weekend and put them here and on facebook page. No nameJanuary 20th, 2010Good morning dear blog. I know I have been bad not writing in two weeks. I have been very busy and away from home for some of the time. I wanted you to know that I no longer have an online store so to speak. I now have one book on two places.. And my shot glasses… I need to put more shot glasses on line as they are beginning to move again. I have a lot of dolls to move but have not thought of how I will do this. I don’t know what to write .. I am not in the mood I guess.. there are so many things I must do this week and I don’t know where to begin. Sorry for neglecting you. Grandma,GG EllaJanuary 10th, 2010Mother we are so sad that you have left us. We know it was your time and God needed you for something. You did not suffer your heart gave out and you went away and never came back. You are in our hearts and always will be.. Make sure you say hi to Daddy for us.We miss you both very much. Girls are going to go though the boxes and boxes of costume jewelry you have and I will take some to the other girls.. Our family history in pictures you made is going to be put on disk. and we are going to add to it to up date it… Thanks for the list of names of who people are.. I now have the task of writing on the pictures that are not written on in other boxes many boxes… we looked at some of the wonderful things you have saved over the years and are so happy that you did. I love you Mom and I am so glad that you knew I did. And we said it just the day before. You have left me with many memories so great and some not so great. You made sure I knew all the people who were important in my life. I had many wonderful adventures thanks to you and Dad. May God bless you. I will meet you both at the Pearly Gates some day. |

I am so sad.. I had planned all these things to do in my head… Small town got in the way again.. LOL. Our Bargin store is closed on Mondays, I think the Post Office and Banks are closed today. Where I get my hair cut is closed on Mondays..and that also means more Copys of Waiting for Agnes will have to wait till tomorrow as its Monday day off…
